Research Instruments was founded in London in 1962 manufacturing micropositioners for the semiconductor industry.
A global leader in micromanipulation technology, the company moved into the fertility industry in the early 1980s. Working closely with pioneers in the field such as Dr Simon Fishel, RI refined its micromanipulators to meet the needs of those perfecting the ground breaking techniques of the time, eg partial zona dissection and the SUZI technique.
In 2016 we joined forces with IVF market leaders ORIGIO, The Pipette Company, K-Systems, Genesis Genetics, Recombine and Reprogenetics, as CooperSurgical companies, to provide a world class service for ART professionals. We are now working in partnership, and continuing to collaborate with ART experts, to develop and provide a system of innovative products for the complete IVF process.
Within RI a dedication to Quality permeates all that we do.
We hold certification to ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 13485:2012 (including CMDCAS) and Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC as amended and are constantly striving to achieve all certifications and registrations required to sell our products in the global marketplace.
Continual evaluation of our products has led to the creation of the finest range of products on the market that clinics aspire to own and use.
RI is also committed to reducing our impact on the environment. Where possible we manufacture devices from recyclable material and our state of the art factory was specifically designed to reduce environmental waste.
RI constantly develops products to improve the IVF process or simplify the administration of the IVF process. We regularly discuss new ideas with end users for their feedback in the development process.
