Data Capture Element is a completely adaptable data capture system to collect information at each step of the IVF cycle. With Data Capture Element, specific cycle information such as the number of oocytes, embryo scores and sperm volumes can be input directly into any central database from the laboratory workstation.
Key benefits
Features
Most laboratories record cycle information on paper forms which then need to be separately transcribed into a computer database. The Data Capture Element enables laboratory/clinical staff to input data into patient records using small touch screen displays or a keyboard and mouse interface installed at work areas. By inputting directly, transcription errors are eliminated and multiple data handling is avoided. Data can be accessed and analysed immediately from anywhere on the system.
The Data Capture Element works alongside the existing clinic database and uses the RI Witness™ infrastructure to communicate cycle information to the server. The system is fully integrated with the RI Elements™ suite of products, and aims to make most paper based laboratory sheets redundant, helping to move the laboratory towards “paperless” operation.
